William Hookins and Susan (nee Mason) were married on Christmas Day 1880 by the Curate (who spelt William's surname as Hookings in the marriage register!) in Puriton, Susan's home village. In this newspaper cutting they are celebrating their Golden Wedding. William and Susan are my paternal great grandparents.
